Bellagamba Floor Covering was founded in 1956 by Peter’s father, Jimmy Bellagamba. The small storefront in Ridgefield Connecticut became the central location for the family owned business. Peter joined his father in 1985 and the two worked together to learn the nuances of owning and operating a family owned business.
In 1981 Peter married his love Carrie and the young couple purchased the business from Jimmy in 1986. As newlyweds, Peter and Carrie worked hard to grow the business and develop close ties within the community. Working together, Peter and Carrie grew the business but continued to maintain the highest level of professional sales and installation expertise. Bellagamba Floor Covering established itself in the Ridgefield community and earned the title of oldest commercial business within Ridgefield.
In 1986 Peter and Carrie opened a second retail store in New Milford to be closer to family and focus on new opportunities. As the Bellagamba family grew older and the business matured, the business required relocation to a larger storefront in Bethel.
Currently positioned within the heart of the Brookfield, Bellagamba Floor covering is a lasting reminder of what it means to be self employed. Bellagamba Floor Covering continues to be active members of the community, including working closely with several local community organizations to support other small businesses. Peter and Carrie maintain the level of excellence established by Peter’s father in 1956, as every consultation is personally handled by Carrie and every installation executed by Peter.
